Tunnel Terms of Use

Last updated: March 30, 2026

1. Service Description

SchemaClient's tunneling service creates temporary public HTTPS URLs (subdomains of schemaclient.com) that forward HTTP traffic to your local development server via a secure WebSocket connection. This service is designed for development, testing, and demonstration purposes.

2. Intended Use

Tunnels are intended for:

  • Webhook development and testing
  • Sharing local work with teammates for review
  • Mobile app development against a local API
  • API integration testing
  • Demos and presentations

Tunnels are not intended for:

  • Production hosting or serving end users
  • File sharing or content distribution
  • Bypassing firewalls or network restrictions for unauthorized access
  • Any illegal or malicious activity

3. Service Limits

  • Request body size: Maximum 5 MB per request
  • Response body size: Maximum 5 MB per response
  • Request timeout: 40 seconds per forwarded request
  • Connection: One active tunnel per user account
  • Availability: Best-effort uptime; no SLA guaranteed

4. Data Handling

HTTP requests forwarded through tunnels are processed in real-time and delivered to your local server. We do not permanently store request or response bodies.

Tunnel connection metadata (tunnel ID, connection times, request counts) may be logged for service operation and abuse prevention.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend tunnel access for any account that violates these terms, abuses service resources, or uses tunnels for prohibited purposes. Tunnel URLs are temporary and may be recycled after disconnection.

6. General Terms

These Tunnel Terms supplement the general Terms of Service. In case of conflict, these Tunnel Terms take precedence for tunneling-related matters.
